Back at home the chores pile up like stumbling blocks
time presuming, time consuming
and the baby sitter shines a beacon in the corner
teaching sugar bread ambitions
through endless summer nights.

The summer bakes it's leaven bread
That's broken at no table
For if a mamma is to pay the rent
then clearly she's unable
to return home at a whim
to a home that has no him
and surely will not have one
for a long time.
